"The Radial Checkpoint" serves as a pivotal juncture before and after embarking on the journey to the nearby Regional Active Centre, functioning as a transitional space designed to facilitate optimal physical preparation and recovery. Geared towards enhancing the user experience, the warming-up amenities encompass a Fitness/Warming Up area for pre-sports workouts, a Café space offering pre-sports refreshments, and a foot reflexology path to prime the feet for sporting activities. On the flip side, cooling-down facilities feature a sheltered resting area for post-sports relaxation, a Water Play area for refreshing cooldowns, and a central Amphitheatre where users can unwind, watch sports, or enjoy movies on a screen.
Notably, these facilities are not exclusive to users who are going and from the Regional Sports Centre, but it also extends to nearby residents, fostering community cohesion and creating a sense of place. Emphasizing a harmonious blend with nature, the space provides an escape from urban chaos, encouraging users to relax amidst natural surroundings. In essence, the Radial Checkpoint transcends its functional role, becoming a conduit for memorable experiences and a catalyst for community bonds.
