Designers were asked to use Engage to gather community feedback on their proposal. See that people said
For Stage 1, designers were asked to use Engage to gather community feedback on what they would like to see in the select site.
Here is your chance to provide design feedback to the designer. Please be respectiful.
Come and re-discover the new Urban Oasis within Tanjong Pagar at Tras Link Park. This project is designed to enhance and strengthen the “breathing space” within the dense Central Business District (CBD).
During lunch time, come with your colleagues and bond over food in one of the Communal Pavilions! Need some alone time? Use any of the Solitary Pavilions to get away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD.
When you’re done with work, come with your family to enjoy the tranquil green space of the site. Have a small splash at the Water Feature to get a cool respite from the sweltering heat.
Don’t like to stay still? Take a walk through the Wandering Exhibits and keep yourself moving while celebrating the rich artworks created by local talents from the Tanjong Pagar district itself!
This design is driven by the feedback provided through the Community Engagement by Engage. The community feedbacked about the lack of sheltered spaces, the calming greenery in the area as well as providing some activity spaces. Hence, the design responds to those comments and addressed the different points, by including pavilions, water feature, the exhibition spaces while retaining the much appreciated greenery in the site. Moreover, it captures Tanjong Pagar's history as a fishing village, with it's name meaning "Cape of Stakes", reflected by river-like pathway, dynamic wooden posts and pavilion facades.
