Revamping Tras Link Part will bring more color and vibrancy to the dullness of the Office District at Tanjong Pagar. The Chiller is a pavilion that provides shelter points for those trying to avoid the blazing Singapore sun. It is also designed to house a café that serves pastry and drinks that would settle any meal of the day. The café is operated in conjunction with Peekabox and its respective providers. Overall, The Chiller will be a chilling spot for mainly the hungry and tired Office Workers and the residents of Tanjong Pagar. The Chiller will become a place that will attract not just people in its surrounding, but also others who are looking for an aesthetic, nature-loving dining or drinking spot.
Heavy use of greenery as a form of natural shading from the intensity of the solar rays, can also help to repay the taken greenery during the process of construction.
Additionally, greenery acts as a natural noise buffer, giving the café a conducive and peaceful aura.
Different levels of shelter also creates different surroundings. By playing around with the openness and exposure to sunlight, it will help The Chiller cater to the different wants of the users. The openings also allow for wind to enter, thus making The Chill an energy efficient space.
