Designers were asked to use Engage to gather community feedback on their proposal. See that people said
For Stage 1, designers were asked to use Engage to gather community feedback on what they would like to see in the select site.
Here is your chance to provide design feedback to the designer. Please be respectiful.
My design seeks to explore ways on creating more unique experiences while using ramps. the question that inspired the design concept was. “why so serious?” it was about constantly asking, ‘how do we integrate more fun into ramps so that they create more meaningful experiences for everyone whilst still responding to the needs of universal accessibility?’
The design concept was to integrate steps into the ramp to invite individuals of diverse mobility capabilities to use the space. the steps not only serve as stairs for able-bodied individuals, but also double up as small seating areas. these seating areas provide opportunities for members of the public to interact with one another. on top of that, the steps are strategically placed so that able-bodies individuals will have more engagement with the ramp.
To add more fun to the design, a giant push pin wall as well as a large wall made up of colourful flip panels are added. these design decisions were made to also enhance interaction, engage with the human senses and peak the human creativity.
