For Stage 1, designers were asked to use Engage to gather community feedback on what they would like to see in the select site.

"DuSable Park its name belong to the discoverer of this city.
I can say that people's footprints should be written on the rocks and we should follow them. So I wanted the hands at the entrance to pull everyone into this unknown place, as DuSable did in this city, so that they would pass between its trees and read on the rocks a story about a legend and end up in a tent that told its story. The other thing I did my best was to make it practical for everyone. There are dogs park, a park for elders and people with disabilities in same level so it would be easier for them to use and also a playground designed for children and I have marked the playground with a monument to make it easier for everyone to find their children as well as resting places.
It was also important to isolate the external noise that naturally separates the plot boundaries from the highway bridge by condensing trees. The other point is that I did not want to freeze the spirit of the place with only green and gray, and because the touch of color can make a child happy and comfort an adult, I added colors, and near these colorful platforms which could be used in many activites like family gathering or school trips for example , there are places where people can draw on the rocks or any art that they may like. Or you may want to go out for a boat ride or buy shells from nearby stores so you can make a bracelet for your loved one while looking out at the sea. This is how I imagined every corner I designed.
